Heidi Kovar started riding when she was 8 years old. She learned most of her dressage and jumping training in Bamberg, Germany under Herr Neuman at Bamberger Reitverien. While in Germany she made it up to 3rd Level Dressage. She was approached about the German Olympic Team but declined it due to her age. Heidi has been teaching lessons for 12 years. She expects her students to want to be the best rider possible and put forth the most effort in each lesson. Heidi started Four Oaks Stables with her parents Uschi and Larry Holbrook in 1998.

Elizabeth Brauns loved horses as a child. She began riding in the early 70's. She first took lessons at Sedgefield Stables from Mrs. Thurston then her daughter Mrs. Thomas. After several years she went to Flintrock Farms and continued riding. For 10 years she spent her time working on the farm and broke horses along with giving lessons, working summer camps, and taking riders on the
trails. She owned her first horse an arabian mare at 13 yrs of age. She currently owns an arabian mare and gelding and still enjoys riding with her 4 children. Elizabeth likes to teach other children the love of riding and caring for horses.
